A couple of days ago,...

...I did something that was both stupid and that I should not have done.

I went onto a journal page of someone who is now an xx journal friend of mine. And I did so because I thought that the person had made a post which was in reference to me. And also I thought that the reference wasn't all that kind. However, a trace of my visit was left for this person to see because there is a way of showing you who has visited your site. And my username showed up on this person's 'visitors' list'.

Well this person then posted a public entry where they told me that I should stay off of their journal page. And I understand why the person was angry because I shouldn't have visited the page in the first place. There is no excuse for me doing that. And it's something that I won't ever do again. However, being told off in public angered me. And it angered me enough that I wrote my own post on this journal site.

However, as one of my lj.com (LiveJournal) friends suggested to me, if you are angry about something, write out a 'trial run' of your feelings first. In other words, write either an e-mail to yourself or type your words into a document that you then save. Then you read over what you have written and usually that's enough to prevent you from sending an e-mail to someone that you might regret.

So with this advice in mind, this is what I did:

I wrote out an entry about how I felt about this person telling me off in public, about how I felt in regards to the situation that led us to no longer be friends, and about how I felt about this person. There was anger and hurt coming out in the words that I was typing but it felt good to just let it all out. And also I found that as I was typing out the entry, I was starting to both calm down and I was feeling better.

To those who hate the new Melo, here's a post that might make you love it a little more:

-You can sort your folders, just go to mymelo > folders and drag/drop in any order.

-If you post a URL in a g-spot it automatically turns into a link.

-You can use IRC commands on the wall.

-You can make and save multiple color schemes.

-More Gspot control.

-More statistics (for the whores).

-More poll options (time limit, poll status, audience selection, poll per folder, more poll choices, poll logs)

-Front page post g-spot, poll g-spots.

-Post/g-spot filter.

-More functional preview.

-Tags, popular tag cloud.

-Community Art/Polls (everything submitted to the front page, with gspots)

I'm continually finding new features on the site, and it makes me love 3.0 (and Sara) more and more every day. I know it's hard to adjust to such a big change, but you have to give it a chance. Take a look around, play around with the new features and get used to it. If you really hate it (and Sara) then you can get off the site because we don't give a fuck.
If you love it, let Sara know. Make a post, send her a g-spot, make her feel loved and supported.

If you want to see another feature or something isn't working, fill out the feedback form. And keep up with the Dev Center Support Tickets under Community and touch/bang the hell out of what you want to see worked on next.
