första gången kunde jag inte sluta skratta åt den tandlösa feta tanten Cuddles

So I saw this "Lady Gaga" and it left me wanting. I wasn't sure, first of all, whether or not it is actually a "lady"; and this is a sentiment Christina Aguilera seems to share, so I feel I am in good company. Anyway, this "person," this "Lady Gaga," looks suspiciously like she might be a man. I have a theory; bear with me as I explain it. Have you seen Marilyn Manson anywhere recently? No, of course not! After he realised his farce had gone on long enough and his years spent on the Wonder Years cast had caught up to him, he came up with a solution: another reinvention. After all, he started as nerdy Paul, progressed to the horse-faced-creeper-with-a-heart-of-gold we know as Marilyn Manson, and now Lady Gaga. How do I know they are the same person? It's really pretty easy. Have you seen them in a picture together? No? Neither have I. Furthermore, they both share an inability to carry a tune or write a melody without outside intervention--hello special guest producers! Finally, and most damning, they both share the wop-dago horse-face and white trash Jew-nose that distinguishes the rotten from the Johnny Rotten.

Just some fresh fruit for rotting vegetables.

Spool Knitting

So, I finally decided on projects to work on for my first toy society drop - I'm spool knitting some finger puppets as well as working on a really brightly coloured elephant plushie.

The elephant will be made with a combination of spool knitted and traditional knitted pieces. I am giving Madame Elephant a really exaggerated trunk and have got the trunk almost done. The colours are really vivid and 70s inspired and I'm sure that most children will find it appealing.

I have also finally finished making my pattern for the felt doll I'm making for myself. She has very elongated features and I think she'll turn out really nicely. I'm keeping her fairly simple as I want to have fun creating clothes and accessories for her and I'd like her to be fairly flexible esthetically. I'm hoping to make her wigs and the whole deal .

Sometimes I Love the Internet

So, I was googling my brains out looking for some ideas for building my first fabric doll (I've made sock monkeys and assorted monsters but never a doll before) and I came across this website : The Toy Society.

I love this concept and I think I'll actually contribute to it in the semi-near future. I really think that the world needs to be more full of playful surprises and random acts of shininess. There just isn't enough play and joy being spread about. I'm sick of the whole obsession with status and wealth and stereotypical beauty.

Day 20 - A hobby of yours

Other than reading as many books as i can right now... this is really the hobby that i have right now. I collect Action Figures from Aliens, Predator, Godzilla, Heroes and well right now i'm trying to get as many Resident Evil toys as i can. Most of all i'm trying to get all the Chris Redfield actions figures!
all these i have but this one on the bottom is the next one i'm going to try and get... it costs about $150 and is 12 inches tall.
