Sexual Healing

After the extreme highs and lows of our insane Purim Bacchanal, it’s time for a little recovery and healing… sexual healing. It’s something we all need, from the Vatican to the Speakeasy, from the hopeless to the Popeless, from Marvin Gaye to 50 Shades of Grey, from inside to outside DrSuzy.tv… we all have sexual energy, and one way or another, it’s going to have to come out. Hopefully in a nice big load!.. or at least in beautiful, positive, healthy, peace-through-pleasure ways. Otherwise it can manifest in ugly, negative, violent, hypocritical ways. This show and the joyous, healing orgy that follows channels that energy into where it is best, most naturally suited… sexual pleasure!

“Sex is dangerous!” We hear that all the time, from the media, our parents, governments, the Religious Right and the Politically Correct Left, not to mention our personal physicians and HMO’s. Well, yes, sex is dangerous, as is driving down the freeway—especially if you don’t wear your seatbelt. Yes, sex can kill. But in general, sex heals a billion times more than it kills. Sure, sex can hurt and even destroy you: Disease! Jealousy. Deception! Violence. And we talk about all of that. But in its heart and soul, this show honors and explores the positive, healing aspects of sex. An orgasm a day keeps the paramedics away!

Concerts I've missed and musings.

Once again I have missed Coheed and Cambria when they have come close enough to my vicinity. I hate, hate, hate missing bands I desperately want to see. Especially with the new release of this double disc. Afterman is abso-fucking-lutely amazing in every sense of the word. I know YOTBR was lacking a bit. But this one really made brought them back into that echelon again of just being crazy good. I hope Claudio carries this further and we learn more about Sirius Amory. Along with the origins of the fence of course.

Another band I keep missing is Say Anything. Max Bemis is just an awesome song writer and brought back everything I loved about the old school emo genre. I'm talking before skirts, eyeliner, and stereotypical cutting became the norm. Then scene just destroyed everything that was awesome about it. Bands like Mineral, Braid, Cursive, Saves The Day, Texas Is The Reason, A3, Hot Water Music, Bright Eyes, Brand New, and what not. Well that's old school to me. I will harken back to Sunny Day Real Estate of course who are fucking awesome as hell. Not to mention Jawbreaker.

I haven't kept an online journal that I've actively made open to complete strangers for years. I had a livejournal that eventually gravitated to facebook and my company of friends. I think it was the name that caught my eye really. Melodramatic? Sure. Seems pretty cool to me. So what the hell right? I guess I'll start writing up my thoughts, poetry, and keep people updated on the progress of my book of poetry that I'm self publishing. Along with a movie podcast that I do with a friend of mine.

I've noticed there are a few cliques around here that need to be started. Where are the hang outs for us 90s kids? Hello? Nickelodeon was the greatest network on tv. Pete and Pete is still hands down the best show ever that was on television. It also had the coolest theme song in existence. No Coheed group? Thankfully there was at least a Star Wars group for me to grab on to.

and welcome to the addiction of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

Photobucket

Okay, to start with I had thought to myself, there is no way I am ever going to watch this new MLP cartoon because it looks retarded. I have been a long time My Little Pony fan, ever since childhood, was pretty much my favorite thing to play growing up. And I love the oldskool movie and cartoons and what not. Even if they are hokey, they bring back some good memories and make me forget whatever troubles are on my mind.

But this new cartoon, I had seen the crazy looking little characters they were passing off nowadays as MLP and I was like, nope, those aren't real ponies, they are a little weird looking, different, I don't like it, the show is for little kids, it's stupid. I am not into it. And felt like it was a letdown cuz here was some new MLP cartoons, and it wasn't doing it for me.

But I realized after reading some stuff about MLP: FiM online that it was humorous, witty and pretty damn cool. I had been suffering from a closed mind about this witty new little MLP cartoon when I first blipped past it on HUB thinking it was going to be oldskool. I watched it again on netflix, starting at the beginning, with an opened mind this time.

And I was surprised with how much it did hold my interest, how into the storyline I was getting, how cute I started to think the personalities of each of the main ponies, and especially spike as well was. I started to connect with the characters. I laughed, I cried, and I couldn't quit watching!!

cuz I ain't from the coast, I'm just coasting

Hanging out over at Joshs house having a good time. Been smoking up, watched Radio earlier, which I own but it's still an awesome movie :) Enjoyed seeing it again as it had been awhile. So ready and happy it is the weekend. Simultaneously relieved and disappointed that I have close to my normal amount of work hours, the light load had left me with a bunch of freetime which was awesome, but empty wallet which was sucking. I did manage to pay all but $30 of my monthly loan payment. So that is definitely awesome, got that relief feeling like YAY I'm gonna make it after all. lol.

Been feeling much more positive the past several months. As much as I have those painful moments where I still miss him and the life I thought we had and would have, I think it's for the better that Antoine is gone. I loved him, but damn he was not doing anything positive in my life, he was bringing me down, holding me back. And Josh makes me feel like I could fly if I set my mind to it, and that my friends, is a wonderful feeling. That's what it's all about. That's all I can say, I don't want to ramble on about it too much for fear of jinxing myself or something lol.

Been watching the fuck out of Nip/Tuck and I'm on season 3, I freaking love that show, have already seen the last season but not all the in between. Can't wait to fill myself in on all the rest.

Current songs: Awolnation-Sail, Rob Zombie-Pussy Liquor, Florence and the Machine-Addicted to Love, TLC-Diggin on you, Mindless Self Indulgence-Royally Fucked, Paramore-My Heart, plus more that I'm too stoned to remember right now :)

Show me some love? I'll hit ya back up...

Zombieland Goes Full Circle, TV Show in Development

Since a sequel to Zombieland is dragging its feet (apropos for something "undead"), there are now plans to develop a television show based on the film.

Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are working with the film's producer Gavin Polone to make it happen. If the series flies, Polone told Vulture that it would remove the need for a sequel. (There's also no coincidence that this news arrives on the heels of The Walking Dead season two's big debut.)

Zombieland was originally planned as a television show before a feature film was given the green light.

Shortly after the original film's release in 2009, 3D sequel talks immediately began. Reese and Wernick penned a script and cast members Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin were on board, however, Columbia Pictures never moved foward on the project.

i hope im back/ crazy summer

its been quite a while since my last post. So much has happened since the last time I've been here. so many shows. Hope people have been following me on twitter and/or facebook
My brother fixed my old computer yesterday (took long enough), its reformatted so its like brand new. However, not long after i started getting the error messages from before. it was the hard drive that failed last time. lets see how long it lasts.
concerts have been really good this summer. Some big names and some of my favorites. some of the big ones were Stone Temple Pilots. that one would of been one of my favorites 10 years ago. the other big one was Guster and Jacks Mannequin. it was pretty good overall but the biggest standout was the opener, Ra Ra Riot. That one was part of a weekend where i saw 3 shows in 5 days. the other 2 were Off with their heads, Dead to me, Static Radio, and The Holy Mess on friday and Fake problems and the Swellers on sunday. that other show was on tuesday. the latest show was Samiam and Banquets last Thursday. pretty good one, a bit overpriced, but worth every minute. went mostly cuz of Banquets, who were the first band i saw this year. got them to follow me on twitter last time and they remembered me from last time. bought the record and sunglasses but didnt have the extra dollar they wanted so they gave me the sunglasses free. asked if they had sweatshirts but they didnt have any so they said theyll just send me 1 free. Next show will be Strike anywhere, a wilhelm scream and the copyrights. most of my shows are at Asbury Lanes, which is an amazing place. its intimate, no asshole bouncers, great drink specials. its also a bowling alley, though ive never bowled there.
