The Attempt to Offend is the Best Way to Find a Worthy Friend

Meet somebody new and be brutally honest with them. I dare you. If they don't mind your thoughts and laugh it off, you may find a cool, new friend. But if they stray away and ramble curses at you with dime a dozen insults, then they're obviously people you don't want to be associated with. It's easy to give a simple, "fuck you," but to really get under their skin, go for the personality (if they even have one). If they ask why you think that, then those are the thinkers that anyone would be glad to befriend. If they say, "I'm sorry you feel that way," then they're the ones that allow things to happen with no question. They're very accepting of everything. They're neutralists. I can't really say if that's good or bad. On one hand, they can be cool with anything, on the other, they might not have an opinion on anything.

Make fun of their art, literature, sculpture, or anything of that sort, and they react very negatively, then those are the ones whom believe that there is nothing wrong with anything they do, and wouldn't want to better themselves. I might be wrong, but there can be a few things wrong with constructive criticism. They can better what they do, however they might lose a bit of individual creativity. Even if it's the most idiotic thing ever created, it's their's that they created, and no one else's. Then again, since we are all influenced by something, nothing is original anymore (at least as original). So constructive criticism is a good thing.

Anyway, any friend who doesn't accept you for who you are, and shuns all of your ideas, then they shouldn't be considered friends at all. A friend should be someone you can be 100% yourself with. Don't really need to have like-minds, or similar interests, or someone you have a lot in common with. Hell, you can be friends with someone who is the complete opposite of yourself. With opposites, you have more to debate and talk about. If it's someone you're absolutely comfortable to be around with, then they're great people to befriend.
