Existence: Self Referential [causality, reality]
I'm trying to develop the course of an idea that is related to evolutionary theory (that there is a 'demand set' that shapes the form of contenders in an environment through iteration), and the Anthropic Principle. . . Wiki excerpt:
"[The resources found in universe seem optimal for life] The anthropic principle states that this apparent coincidence is actually a necessity because living observers wouldn't be able to exist, and hence, observe the universe, were these laws and constants not constituted in this way."
This is a handy concept, but I am concerned more with the fabric of time and space--existence in general. I've been trawling though some intellectual audio and considering how the current paradigm of science is confronting this question. There is plenty of pondering and conjecture on related questions such as "Why does time move with a arrow/direction for us?" and "How do we reconcile large scale physical phenomena with observations on the quantum mechanical scale such as 'islands of Bool' and 'the Observer Effect' (abberations from common logic).
My head keeps interrupting to say "The answer lies in Self Referentiality, in that everything must be reflexive to observation to stay in observable reality. What we know as the continual "advance" of time is actually an ever-unfolding TEST of any one thing's interaction with reality. On the Planck scale, in the cosmic froth of mere potentiality, the constituents of atoms prefer to be consistent, and thus existent, though they aren't required to be so.
I keep thinking that the familiar texture of actuality and observation (reality/existence) for everything from matter to thoughts is generated unto the result we see by phenomena that are self referential, that is, things which can occur with results that live on (and thus can be observed) within the construct that first generated them. And in being Self Referential and consistent with their construct (continually leaping but landing back in "existence"), they undergo pruning of their other states to return/remain. Or rather the act of observation leaves us to see only a pruned version of the object, and the ways of this pruning compose the "Natural Laws" as we know them.
E.g. A material particle has many possibilities of where and how it could BE. In truth it exists as ALL OF THESE, but we only see the version that correlates with the observable. The 'condensed' existence is what stays "on the grid" for us and shows up for us in the passage of time. The versions that are not consistent with the condensation rule are also true, but fall "off the grid" for us and are unseen. And thus my beer stays on the table where I put it.
Other possible ramifications:
Time measurement seems so accurate because of it's self-referentiality: A cesium atomic clock is 'dead-on' accurate because its measuring the pace in the rule of self-referentiality itself, but in a way that can be counted. (duh) But it does not denote a true direction or pace in time. .. Only the property that alludes to it.

Likewise, beyond these carnal motivations, with consciousness people seek to be embedded in a purpose, but they find an open-ended problem. And they formulate ready-made solutions found in a church, a culture, many doctrines of being.
(Beware though, that such pursuits may be stagnant, just as the body of the animal.)
But here lies a broad hierarchy and progression, from
the mere self-inference of matter and energy,
atoms to molecules,
to plants, to moving life,
and at last man. . .
. . .who finally can choose his own place, no longer entirely fathered by the condensed circumstances of environment and genes.
