Today was one of the most productive days I've had in a while. Dad and I put some drywall up on Saturday, and I got the plaster and sanding started on that. I ripped up some stuff in the backyard and cleaned it up some. Tomorrow, I think I'll continue with the drywall plaster and either get started on taking down my popcorn ceilings or take down the water-damaged ceiling in the downstairs bathroom. Either one is going to be messy, and removing the bathrom ceiling will probably make the cat mad, since that's where her food and stuff is. Oh well. Either one will be good to do. Maybe I'll do both.

My dad came over tonight to look at some of the drywall work around the window, and he suggested that I apply for food stamps. I should be getting my first unemployment check this week, and since a lot of people in Vegas are already getting food stamps, there's no reason why I shouldn't at least look into it. Since I live by myself, I don't think I'd use very much, but at least I wouldn't have to pay for it out of my own pocket.

The girlfriend is in Laguna this week, which will make me super bored. Thank goodness I have lots of work to do around the house. That should keep me busy until she gets back.
