Yarg, melo is being bitchy >.< But that’s all right. It’s not like I can fix it or anything, so for Sara and crew’s efforts, I won’t complain anymore.

I went back to school on Wednesday. So far, things are progressing just fine. John’s not going to go to school though... He says it costs too much for one class, which I agree with, but still, I’m a little disappointed. I understand where he’s coming from with it, but I guess I was looking forward to seeing him at school. Well, I was. And plus once he gets a job, most of his time will be taken up.

Side note: It didn’t help that the Doom Song just came up on Winamp x.x

Anyway, I’m just being selfish as usual. John has to do what he must. He has to pay rent at Dan’s, so he needs a job. I’m going to support what he does, and I will make a conscious effort not to complain, and to just get over it, because it’s not fair to him if I whine about him not spending time with me.

And I love him.

Oh yeah. We had the party on Sunday, and that was pretty cool ^_^ I gave Sara a Beck CD and Gravitation, Dan gave her a book of haiku and the sorceror’s book for D&D, and John gave her a dance pad. Nifty stuff. (Yesterday was her official birthday, so she’s now eighteen ^_^ Happy.) I think I really lucked out this year so far: Dan gave me a book on the Qabalah, John gave me the Hikaru no Go SAI Illustration Book, and Sara... Wow. Sara gave me a cel of my character that she drew, matted and framed. It is simply amazing, and she really is a terrific artist. It’s up on the wall above my lamp, looking great ^^ After we exchanged the presents, we played some DDR (Sara kicking our asses, naturally), and some Super Smash Brothers Melee as well. I suck at both games =P Then we created our characters for Dan’s latest AD&D campaign. My character... does not suck this time! =D That is sooooooo great, makes me soooooo happy. When we actually played on Tuesday, my character killed monsters! My characters (okay it was one other character, a paladin, and he didn’t do anything special) usually suck so much! But this Aes Sedai I’m playing (yeah, he’s using other worlds, but that’s fine with me) kicks ass. Yes. Plus I know the Wheel of Time world a lot better than anything else he’s using, so yeah.

What else? Well, about school then. My first class was Intro to Film, and it had a typical start, nothing special. We’ll be getting into the heart of things on Monday. Brit Lit I is a class I believe I’m going to really enjoy; the teacher is nice and informative, and I sit around people... I actually talk to! Yes, anti-social Val has people to talk to. The girl that sat next to me, whose name happens to be Jeannie ^^ gave me some Cream Savers, so she’s automatically cool in my book. The girl behind us is okay, but I never did catch her name. And some guy in the other row talked to us, so yeah. Maybe I’ll strike up a conversation on Beowulf with the chap sitting in front of me on Monday.

Psychology has been all right. Nothing too incredibly interesting, but at least the teacher doesn’t bore me to tears ^_^; Creative Writing is also cool: my friend Andrew (I know I’ve talked about him; he’s the metal head from my American History class) is in there with me, as well as a guy named Phil who was in my Japanese II class in high school, and another guy named Chris (Avery, as there are a million Chris’s I know) who dated Candace, a girl who was also from Japanese II, is in there. I think Phil might be an English major o_O I must investigate on Tuesday. If I feel like getting the nerve to just randomly go up to Phil and say, "Hey, you remember me from high school?" I mean really... that’s pretty lame ~.~; Ah well. I must keep in mind: I am lame =P

And what’s more, my Creative Writing teacher is a flake and long-winded. He admitted this to us. Oh well.

*thinks* Aaaaaaaaand... Amy wants me to house-sit for her o.o Which I totally don’t mind. A weekend away from my mother is always good in my book. Plus, Amy hints that she wouldn’t care if John were to come over (in fact, she says she’d feel better knowing I wasn’t alone, so booya). She even offered to get us some booze and porn XD That’s pretty funny, but since neither of us have any desire to drink, and we aren’t really inclined to watch porn, that was a no to both. She’s... thoughtful, at least ^_^; But I love her ^___^

I also preordered my very own first edition copy of Megatokyo =D I’m so psyched that it’s getting published ^_______^! Next time I go to a convention that has Fred and Co. as guests, that’s what I’m going to have Fred sign *^^* I shall tell my small story of how I randomly came across Megatokyo when the very first comic was up... Or not, since I don’t want to creep him out or anything. Who knows? ^^;;;

I guess that’s it in the way of what’s going on with my life for now. Inform you all about the next batch of exciting stuff later =P
