'check in' to stores near your current location to earn karma (hah!) and then spend karma to donate to the charity you want in the list of available charities.
i was able to check into two stores from the comfort of my own bedroom. apparently i can do this once a day. pretty nice to give to charity with a few swipes of my thumb.

this time i'll be in a sub-500-square-feet apartment all by my lonesome. it's about time i try actually living on my own for a while. no roommates to blame or to blame me. privacy. it should be interesting.
the only thing i'm worried about is detachment from people. i haven't really made any close friends out here. no one with whom just sitting around doing nothing feels right. ...but i guess we'll see.
time to shop for a new washer/dryer, some dishes and some silverware.

That entry was more based on having all the numbers - i.e. you have 1 apple, I have 1 apple, but your apple weighs 200 grams and mine 150. That way I can say without any doubt, you have more apple than me.
The problem is, in life, most of the time you don't have all the numbers...
yeah i pretty much only use twitter for that reason personally, but i use it a lot more when i'm working with clients and running their social media.
facebook is the clear winner here. myspace is absolutely disgusting, even moreso that people still use it. livejournal has been around a long time, but that's all it's really got going for it. the communities feature used to be decent but it's outdated now.
seriously. i can't believe they used to charge for their browser, too. heh.
