I like the 'Selectively Optional' part of this. :).

Re: 601

I know I got to hear it once. :).

Re: 601

Bummer-city!! Hope ya got to hear it at least a few times before it turned itself into component atoms
:D

Re: 601

I had that particular book on tape.

Not sure what happened to the tape, though.

Re: Rorripop!

My Mom wanted to name me after Rosalind Russell (as this was her favourite actress).

But my dad objected to that.

Re: A very silly play...

Based on what you mentioned about the films, then this was the film that Bri and I watched: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065856/?ref_=sr_1

Re: A very silly play...

the movies were House of DS, and Night of DS, but I don't remember them - I only know the show because my mom was a fan, I watched it because she was watching, plus I liked that it had a weird vampire :D

Re: A very silly play...

A while ago, Bri and I watched a DARK SHADOWS film.

I can't seem to find it on the imdb.com. But I believe it was from the 1970's.

And while it was campy as anything, it also was very entertaining. :).

Re: A very silly play...

I watched it with a small group of people who had grown up watching the show, and we actually found it while browsing channels and decided to watch it. the whole nostalgia of hearing certain character names and recognizing plotlines was worth the watch, even if I thought some things a bit over-the-top

Re: A very silly play...

I do want to see that film. :).

Re: Up and Out!

Yes, I think Gene's version is meaner.

But then, I think it's more in keeping with both the spirit and the message of the film.

demonw's picture
Re: Up and Out!

he is a genius in that role.
is he a 'meaner' Wonka than Depp in some ways or is it just me?

Re: Up and Out!

waaaaaay ahead of ya!!
:D

Happy 42o Beesh!!

Re: Up and Out!

I prefer the Gene Wilder version of this film. :).

Re: The Third Time Is...

where did all those decades go??
lol

Re: The Third Time Is...

I remember watching the video on tv, people all over were so consumed over the singer being a guy or a girl that they weren't even upset over the image of the jury in blackface, lol

Re: The Third Time Is...

Damn, was it '82 when this album came out? Dang!

Re: The Third Time Is...

This was my favourite 80's group. *big smile*

Re: that SMELL!!

I'm sorry but when I think EVIL DEAD, I think of Bruce Campbell as Ash.

So even though I think Bruce Campbell is a producer on this remake (or whatever it is), I'm really not interested in seeing it as I seen the originals (and I thought that they were great).

demonw's picture
Re: that SMELL!!

You'll enjoy it! It felt like a remake of both ED and ED2

Re: that SMELL!!

Can't wait to go see it. I was an Evil Dead fan before it was cool and popular

demonw's picture
Re: that SMELL!!

lol, my brother scored tickets to an Evil Dead preview lastnite; actually, as fun as it was, I think the movie was almost as tame as Supernatural, but with fewer goodlooking guys!

ainecara's picture
Re: that SMELL!!

That sounds like a line that you would hear on SUPERNATURAL. *BG*

Re: public

Hello you. :).

And it's good to see you on here. *big smile*

Things are going all right and I'm doing okay.

And yourself?

Re: public

I guess it's been a while since I checked my Melo

Hope you're doing well fine and dandy!

Re: public

Hello Wolfie! Care to humor your friendly neighborhood ninja-man and grant him some of your votes in this week's Melo Superlatives awards category, Biggest Comic Geek? I'm not much of a politician and am in fact only "campaigning" like this to test the system, but I'm offering compensation for votes in the form of free comics out of my own digital library. I've got lots. Totally willing to share. ;) You can touch/bang the relevant entry here, but seeing as how you're one of those sensitive, enigmatic artist types, I'd totally understand if you dismissed all of this as frivolity. :P

ainecara's picture
Re: public

Again, it's the 'not so random tour' that brings me here to your 'melo doorstep'. *BG*

Hope that you are doing well and that things are going okay. :).

Re: Brute Haiku

'No rage is both the end of the cycle and the best. *BG*

demonw's picture
Re: Brute Haiku

followed by 'out-rage' and 'inner-rage' and various other rages - a natural cycle lol

ainecara's picture
Re: Brute Haiku

It's the being 'woken up by truth' that sometimes leaves you feeling quite 'sore' (in a metaphorical sense). :(.

Re: Nostalgia is Denial

Ah, I see. :).

demonw's picture
Re: Nostalgia is Denial

I like it much :D
but I've always been a Woody Allen fan anyways!

ainecara's picture
Re: Nostalgia is Denial

Sounds like a film that I should probably watch. :).

Re: Rats!

This is true. *BG*

Re: Rats!

LOL - and no clear winner in the Campiest Performance category!

ainecara's picture
Re: Rats!

Seeing Bette Davis and Joan Crawford fighting in that film?

Priceless. :).
