I love the fact that the beauty/fashion industry are beginning to embrace diversity as the beautiful thing it is.
OR WORSE!!!! lol...kids are growing up worse than our generation. I think it is because people are having babies when they are still young. Kids grow up seeing a lot of stuff these days. That is why we need teachers and role models to set positive examples. And birth control available to teens readily. Sorry...I could go on a rant. I work in child welfare.

I couldnt agree with you more, the fact that every where we look our minds are overloaded with cookie cutter models and people who look the same. what ever happened to unique being beautiful?? where did the medias view get construed to the idea that for men and woman to be attractive they have to weigh in at what doctors even say is a dangerous way to live.
Sometimes i see a kid walking down the street, and unless its obvious, its hard to tell the difference between boys and girls, because, guys are wearing girls jeans and weigh 110 pounds and girls are wearing the same jeans and weigh even less most of the time. I like my men to look like MEN, but then again, im not the media.
Because i am home all the time, i actually sat and counted commercials that said "weight loss, diet, etc." and in a single hour, there was over a dozen commercials telling me "your fat, fix it, with this drink/food/pill/at home gym"
I just laugh because how can a single pill/drink/diet work for everyone??
the way we are headed, our population will either eat themselves to death because they feel hopeless to ever get acceptance, or waist away to nothingness.
Ill just be hanging out in the middle somewhere, happy and healthy :D meet you there!

I'm sorry, but back when I was in high school, it was next to impossible for me to find a size 0 they always had bigger sizes, now that I am up to a size 8 it's hard for me to find any because it's pretty much gone in reverse. It's sick! Yes, I want to lose a little weight only because of my small stature it doesn't fit well, but I will NEVER go back to a size 0, it literally made me look like I was anorexic, when really I just had a high metabolism back then. I would eat and eat and eat and wouldn't gain a damn pound. Hell, even a size 4 is considered small in my eyes. The runway business needs a slap in the face for that crap. It's the reason why so many celebs and models BECOME anorexic because they are told they are TO FAT FOR THE JOB.
its seriously insane, thin used to be considered sickly and poor, if you were hefty and well fed, it was a symbol of superiority.. i blame twiggy, because she was too pretty when she was that skinny. now everyone feels like that is beauty... and the other 95 % of us are out of luck fitting in to 95% of new fashion.
Seriously! Women used to be hot even at size 12 and now that's considered plus size. It's crazy and sad. But I still feel bad for that model. Size 4 is already super thin snd it sucks the modeling industry expects models to be zeros.
Unfortunately my job will not allow vacation time for me. I can have off but it will be unpaid. I have to save up for it.
