I better get a new entry in before this ship crashes again!
Less than two weeks to Con! Yikes. The real costuming work begins. If cosplay is a labor of love, why do I procrastinate it so much? It's a good thing I did my props first. All I really have to do is throw together my jacket in the next week. Kyle's got started last night. The top is cut and pinned, the pants just need elastic. It was nice to have him to fit on. I wish I had Britt closer to fit Kid on. Maybe I just need a more versatile dress form.
Continuing on my adventures with Dr. Who. I've started going through the 10th doctor chronologically. He's good. Not as good as Matt Smith (for me). You never forget your first doctor. I was thinking about re-doing my melo Tardis themed but I just re-did it with the library so i did my phone Tardis themed. My lock screen is the front doors of the Tardis and the background when you unlock it is the Tardis console.
I'm supposed to be listening to this lecture in class on business contracts. I'm definitely not.
I've taken up making Chicken pot pies lately. I only home make them halfway but they're quick and simple. We got some ramicans rated to 400F. All I do is cook off chicken and diced veggies with rosemary and thyme, mix up a can of cream of mushroom soup (with less water, so it has the right consistency), put it in the ramican and put a little puff pastry on top. Bake it off and Ta-da! Another one I've been cooking lately is Thai peanut noodles. I learned how to make the peanut sauce from scratch and it was pretty complicated. I learned a new cooking term (blooming). Now, I feel justified in buying a bottled sauce until I simplify the other version. I just boil off soba noodles, throw the sauce on them, saute some veggies and toss them in with some peanuts and cilantro. I'm putting cilantro in A LOT of things now. hah. It's growing like a weed. I'm starting to suspect that my apple mint is choking out my basil. I didn't know that it was such a strong plant. The basil, if it lives long enough, will really start to thrive when summer and strong daylight hit.

Then that means there's a couple that are within your skills! I highly recommend mastering craft foam. A lot of FANTASTIC things have been made cheaply, with tons of craft foam. Check this one out: http://www.firelilycosplay.com/cosplay/completed/dragoon/dragoon.html
Patience is one of those things that I think I've grappled with my whole life.
There are a couple of things that I'd really like to do, but at least one of 'em is beyond my skillsets and probably my budget.
Part of me wants to get back into costuming; if I can only find the time and patience.
