It is the luckiest day of all, no? Well, we'll see about that.
Class today, then I've invited people over for drinks, but...I have a nagging suspicion that no one will show. That's allright, if I can get drunk with just Lise and Shawn, I will.

In other news, school is faaaabulous, got my baking midterm grade (86%!) and am otherwise doing very well. Got an interview at a vair vair prestigious golf club last weekend (so fancy, all the sports celebrities and the prime minister goes there!). Anyway, on the one hand, I totally want the job cuz its so much nearer than any other job I've had cooking. Also, its amazzzzzzzzzzing experience to put on the old resume, however, if I get it, I wont be able to do the summer semester in school, I'll have to wait til September. Which I kind of dont want to, since I really like my group and am having a general good time.

Also, Shawn and I are buying 'Heavy MTL' tickets this weekend, our passes for a fun-filled festival weekend. Just a teaser, this is the current lineup:

Life's.....alright. Not bad, not excellent. Work is stretching thin. My *ahem* 'Attitude Problem' is getting in the way of my work. People have stopped giving me chances, so now when I'm quiet at work (so as to NOT argue with people) they think I'm being bitchy and ignoring them, so THEY're bitchy with me! Anyway. I just wanna make food, you know? Plus, one of my chef's at school offered me the chance to work with his catering company next Friday night. They are doing an event for the Royal Ottawa Hospital at the Aviation Museum, and they are serving 560 people! There will be 20 chefs working, and it would be a great opputunity to network. So what does my boss say? "Um....well...you know....there isn't anyone else to cover your shift. There's only 3 people who CAN work Fridays and they're working." Oh okay, so when Emily took a long weekend to party for her birthday, and the EXECUTIVE CHEF picked up her shift, that was okay, but not me asking for ONE shift, that might possibly make my career?!

GRRRRR.

Let's see, what else? Shawn's good, been sick this week. He's better now. School's good, as well. Tons of opportunities, but none I can take advantage of, because of my stupid job! Anyway.

I'm going to enter in a pear-recipe contest. I'm GOING TO win 5000$US.
